Cancellation and Booking Policy

At 4x4 Ethiopia Tour, we strive to provide flexibility and customer satisfaction. Our cancellation and booking policy combines standard, promotional, and flexible options to ensure a seamless experience for our clients.

1. Standard Cancellation Policy

Our Standard Cancellation Policy offers refunds based on how far in advance cancellations are made:

  • 30 days or more before the tour start date: 80% refund
  • 15-29 days before the tour start date: 50% refund
  • 7-14 days before the tour start date: 25% refund
  • Less than 7 days: No refund
Certain prepaid services, such as flights, hotel bookings, and permits, may not be refundable due to third-party provider terms.
2. Promotional Cancellation Policy

For bookings under our Promotional Cancellation Policy:

  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the experience starts (local time).
  • Cancellations within 24 hours of the experience start time: No refund
  • “Reserve Now, Pay Later” option: Secure your spot without immediate payment. Full payment must be made at least 24 hours before the experience starts to confirm the booking. Unpaid reservations will be automatically canceled.
3. No-Show Policy

If clients fail to appear for their experience without prior notice, no refunds will be issued. Changes to dates or participant details are subject to availability and may incur additional charges if requested within 24 hours of the experience start time.

4. Tour Amendments and Cancellations by Us

We reserve the right to amend itineraries or cancel tours in cases of unavoidable circumstances (e.g., political instability, natural disasters). In such cases, clients will be offered either a full refund or an alternative tour of similar value. If a tour requires a minimum number of participants and this requirement is not met, we will notify clients at least 15 days before the tour start date and provide a full refund.

5. Refund Processing

Refunds for eligible cancellations will be processed within 14 business days and issued to the original payment method. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellations, medical emergencies, or other unforeseen events.
