You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Dire Dawa where you will be met upon arrival and drive to Harar. Harar is a labyrinth of small streets surrounded by old city walls is the fourth holiest city for the muslim people next to Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem. Its architecture reflects a strong Islamic influence. The sightseeing of Harar will include the market, the French poet –Rimbaud house, the harari museum and the tomb of Emir Nur hwo buit the Harar walls known Jugol. This day you will drive to Dire Dawa passing through Aweday chat market. Upon arrival in Dire Dawa you will catch your flight back to Addis. Be met upon arrival and transfer to your hotel for day use. In the evening attend a folkloric dinner where you will have a chance to taste several national dishes and watch dances of the various ethnic groups of Ethiopia. Flight from Addis Ababa to Arba Minch. In the afternoon, you’ll take a drive up the hill side to the highland community of Dorze. The Dorze people are famous for their skill as weavers and on a tour round the village, you will see some of their products. Even their houses are woven from bamboo. You can try your hand at spinning thread, and find out some of their many uses of the enset (false banana) plant. From there, you’ll return to Arba Minch, where you’ll stay the night OverNight :Jinka Resort Arbaminch.

In the morning, after an early breakfast, we’ll drive down to Lake Chamo for a boat trip to visit the “crocodile market” (a local name for a spot on the lake; no buying or selling takes place).Here, we’ll see hippos, some of Africa’s largest crocodiles, and various bird species.
The Konso Cultural Landscape, which includes 42 villages and surrounding farmland, is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. There are around 250,000 people living in this area, mostly in hilltop villages surrounded by high stone walls. Konso farmers use a sophisticated system of stone terracing to retain moisture and prevent erosion of the hillsides.The area is also famous for the waka (carved wooden funerary statues) that dot the landscape. The Konso people are thought to have lived in this area for at least 400 years and they speak a language belonging to the Cushtic family.Overnight:Tribal Life Eco Lodge.

Turmei, you will visit a village of the Dassanech people. The Dassanech tribe, living around Omerate, is not strictly defined by ethnicity but has absorbed a wide range of different people over time. The Dassanech are divided into eight main clans, each of which is believed to have special powers over different things such as water, crocodiles, snakes, diseases, drought, eye infections, scorpion bites and muscular problems. Members of the same clan are forbidden from marrying (or even dancing with) each other. Both men an women of the Dassanech adorn themselves with beads and bracelets. you’ll return to Turmei, Dassaneche tribe we will drive back to Turmi for having lunch then we will keep drive In the afternoon, you may be lucky enough to see a Hamar Bull-jumping ceremony, or visit the Hamar village if you saw the bull-jumping ceremony on the previous day. Drive through the countryside to gondar. Tour the royal enclosure, a unseco world heritage site featuring five castles built by a succession of Ethiopian kings beginning in the early 17th century. Having survived several wars, including air raids during world war 2, the castles are a testament to the resilience of this once mighty empire. Visit the church of debre birhan selassie, famous for its religious art and especially its iconic ceiling depicting angels.

Fly to lalibela on ethiopian airlines. Tour the magnificent rock-hewn churches, a UNESCO world heritage site. This group of eleven monolithic churches were carved directly into the stone mountainside at least 800 years ago. This complex boasts the largest monolithic church in the world,
a maze of passageways and tunnels, intricately carved reliefs, and fabulous
examples of icon paintings. In the late afternoon, enjoy a traditional coffee
ceremony and learn the process for baking injera (a staple food for much of Ethiopia.)

For the morning we have two options: take a morning hike with mules to the 13th century rock-hewn monastery of mount asheton. The walk provides wonderful views of lalibela and the surrounding countryside or drive to Yemrehanna kristos, a beautiful church situated in a shallow cave that predates the churches of lalibela. The drive to yemrehanna will give you the opportunity to view the rural countryside and villages of the ethiopian highlands. Following either option above continue with tour of lalibela’s churches in the afternoon.
